Message from the PHIP President

How exciting it is to be just 6 months away from the 33rd annual Meeting of the Minds! The committee and your Board have been meeting and planning this event since well before last year's MOTM even happened. The time and effort that goes into coordinating the musical lineup, contracts, hotels, breakout sessions, stages, websites, registration, sound, lights, and working with outside agencies and venues is a daunting task, especially for volunteers.Plus coordinating with our vendors, charities, local businesses, and government, all in the name of Keeping the Party Going.

We had hoped from recent discussions with LiveNation, The Wharf Amphitheater, and representatives of the Coral Reefer Band that we would have a tour date and incentives that would better serve our attendees, as well as fit into our set and released schedule, but this was not meant to be.

While it provides a new option for our Parrot Heads, Meeting of the Minds is our convention. It is also a celebration of Jimmy, Parrot Heads, and the trop rock musical genre and feeling of escapism that he created. We will continue to bring that to you every year. Meeting of the Minds and our clubs are exactly what Keeping the Party Going is all about, and we look forward to having you with us in the Gulf Coast, where Jimmy grew up, and fittingly, we continue to grow!

We are the Party that Jimmy envisioned to "Keep the Party Going". And the party will be at The Hangout in Gulf Shores!

We are returning to Gulf Shores this year. The community is excited to have us back and we're ready to be there!

In keeping with requests from attendees, we have continued to expand our footprint to keep as much within walking distance of the Hangout as possible. The Backyard Stage will return again this year! Thanks to Buddy & Karyn Roussel of Buddy's Backyard for sponsoring this again!

We have several lodging options available this year including our newest luxury hotel, the Embassy Suites! We continue to have VIP lodging at the Phoenix All Suites and Gulf Place Condos. A few of those options remain. We also have Island Winds condos available. If interested in adding lodging to your registration, email us at committee@motm.rocks
